Audrey Tautou

Audrey Tautou born Beaumont, the French city of Puy-deDomme on August 9, 1976. Audrey Tautou is the fourth child of 4 children. At a young age, both her dental surgeon parents and her teacher mother encouraged her passion of theatre and drama. The passion for theater was the one which trumped her original desire to become a an animal scientist. The rise of her as an actress in her early years was quick and marked by early success. Prior to beginning the acting profession, Tautou participated in Jeunes Premiers an French talent search TV program sponsored by Canal+ in 1998. Also, she was awarded the the title of Best Young Actress for the Beziers Festival of Young Actors. Tautou was raised in a Catholic home, and was a member of the church, even though she went to school within The Institut Catholique de Paris. Along with her acting career she also pursued a modeling career. It is her turn to be the spokesperson for L'Oreal Mont Blanc & Chanel and often called The Chanel Muse. Additionally, she is a keen photographic passion and has recently produced an exhibition of her work at the Arles Festival under the title Superficial. The majority of her photographs concern famous people and celebrities. Also, they include a collection of self portraits in addition. Audrey Tautou rose to fame and acclaim with her big part in the film Le Fabuleux d'Amelie Poulain. Amelie was recognized internationally for its box office success. It also received praise in award ceremonies all over the globe. Amelie is the most successful French-language film in the US. Later, in the same year, she was a part of British dramas, including Stephen Knight's Dirty Pretty Things as well as Jean-Pierre Jeunet's The long day of the fiancailles. Then Tautou moved to Hollywood to work in Hollywood, where Ron Howard directed the Dan Brown bestseller The Da Vinci Code.
